The national comppetition with selected successful dressage couples was to show how audience and judges as well as Diavolessa react to the new music in the test situation of a Grand Prix. Result: Great freestyle, so you can go well in the international season 2018. All judges gave an eighth for the music. With a total of 74.89 percent, the result was already high in the seventies and brought the third place.
Since Christmas has been tinkered intensively on a new Kür. Dia can now do much more than last summer, so a new choreography should take new levels of difficulty and new characters into account. After a few attempts and a lot of tasting, there was a fairly symmetrical freestyle, with a furious entry with Passage and Piaffe. In the center of the grandiose step, framed by trot passages, with the emphasis on the strong trot, and a gallop passage with changes on the curved line and one and a half gallop pirouettes. The final line is initiated by a twisted piaffe, which turns into a passage. The search for a fitting musical accompaniment turned out to be difficult, if you wanted to avoid the usual pop mix. We were looking for a coherent design, based on a more classical key and instrumentation, but with a dance-like character, which should emphasize the movement of the horse and also convey a Russian mood. First attempts were rejected. At the end - only two weeks before the exam - some titles from the current Russian film music were found. Then in the last days and nights of Tatiana was combined, copied, cut, put together. In Verden then it turned out: It was worth it. The final touches now get the recording in a studio in Moscow.
Verden 05 In the hall Dia has to look around first. Sheer terrain is her favorite.
In the morning the competition started with a short Grand Prix, which was also the qualification for the Grand Prix Freestyle in the evening. In both tests Tatiana Kosterina reached with Diavolessa VA the third place. 70 percent was in the short Grand Prix. Here Diavolessa showed in Passage and Piaffe a certain tension and aversion. The free skate was much better: here there was almost 75 percent, a very successful debut in the year 2018.
The Verdinale in January is a great way to check the state of preparation for the tournament year 2018. Verden is also ideal because the conditions are very good: big boxes, friendly organization, new bright hall, comfortable ride and a horse-loving audience. In August there will be again the big international tournament on the big racetrack area. There Tatiana and Diavolessa won Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special last year. Dia should reserve the date.
