Tatiana and Diavolessa go for Russia
After the very successful participation of Tatiana at the Falsterbo Horse Show last year, the couple confidently made their way to Falsterbo, Sweden, just outside Malmö. Diavolessa could not handle the ride so easily. With a high temerature she changed to the quarantine tent after arrival. Eventually, the temperature for the competition was back to normal. But the mare, however, was obviously not quite herself.

The CDI5* Test in Falsterbo is one of the largest and most impressive international dressage competitions in Scandinavia and one that also likes to invite Russia to the Nations Cup. This year Sweden invited Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark next to Russia. The team classification included a Grand Prix, a Grand Prix Freestyle and a Grand Prix Special. Four pairs of a team had to challange the Grand Prix, two pairs in the remaining tests.
For Tatiana and Diavolessa the test should be a special challenge. Could the mare take away her damaged health and play free? At the vet check on Friday, the 13th, Dia recovered and passed the check unreservedly. The temperature had normalized too.
In the Grand Prix Special the pais got a positioning. Dia was fit again.
On Saturday, the Grand Prix was on. Dia and Tatiana started fourth and as last Russian pair and were therefore important for a preliminary decision in the nations classification. Already when riding off the mare did not move as agile and energetic as usual. Obviously, the burden of arrival was still in their bones. The exam itself was contested by a dull slide with little energy and power. Although she made no mistakes, but lacked the splendor and laxity of the past trials. After all, there was still a good 69 percent, that was the 13th place.
Diavolessa visibly recovered on Sunday. The power was back. During the ride she already worked actively and energetically and went powerfully into the arena. The Grand Prix Special is Tatianas favorite ntest and it went well, visibly better than on Saturday. Only in the end in the strong trotting part on the long side Dia started to canter, exactly in the same place as last year. Dia galloped and reluctantly parried in the required trot. Overall, the participants were very satisfied that the athlete had caught again and the health impact was overcome after arrival. The judges gave for the performance 68.87 percent, which brought the sixth place, after all.
The placed pairs in the Russian team: Inessa Merkulova with Mister X and Tatiana Kosterina with Diavolessa.
In the Nations Cup, the Russian team finished fourth, just behind the Dutch.
