Since then, Dia has been trained in the home stable and trained tob e in a good mood. How will the mare show up in the arena after this almost year-long forced break? Fantastic stadium in the desert
After four days of acclimatization, the Grand Prix was on the agenda on Friday, 26.02. For Tatiana and Dia, he began surprisingly. Riding in gallop and greeting line-up worked perfectly. But then Dia had probably forgotten that now the trot hast to continue. She behaved on the point, then responded to the aid by galloping. Quick change to the trot did not work, so parried and re-entered. This was the first response to the long pause. Dia had probably forgotten a lot and she acted accordingly insecure lyrise during the task. However, she also showed two highlights. The trottraversals are getting better than ever. In general, the trot became more important, prouder, more powerful than in recent years. Here, significant progress was made through training during the tournament break. The gallop also won. Convincing in the alternating diagonals and the zigzag traversals was offered great gallop. These highlights led to high scores. Overall, it was 67.87 percent. To the error after the greeting line came another in the passage on the final line. And a series of nervous attention disorders cost points in detail. Conclusion: The basic quality in the gallop and trot could be shown significantly improved. Here the training paid off during the break. In the arena, however, Dia is not yet completely at home again. She looks around and doesn't have the old serenity yet. This requires experience.
The facility was excellently equipped. Comfortable washing places were just one example. Even the barn tents were cooled. Temperatures were rather moderate at around 25 degrees.
On Saturday we went to the Grand Prix Special. Here an perfomance was achieved without big mistakes. Dia had already become accustomed. At 68.57 percent, it came in third place in the competition. The judges were not quite in agreement. Once again, the assessment of the strong step from a 6.5 to the 8 was interesting. We were very satisfied with the tour. Dia was able to bring its improved basic quality to the arena floor. The intricacies must be worked on, the transitions should be more routine, the concentration on aid must be sharpened.
With the third place in the Grand Prix Special, the week in Qatar was very successful
On Sunday we went back to the plane. Doha was an impressive tournament. With a lot of effort, work and friendly charm, one of the best tournaments in the world was established. It was a pleasure to have been there.
