At the end of June, Maxima Park in the Moscow region also hosted an international dressage tournament in addition to the qualifying tournament of the show jumpers for Tokyo. Dia and Tatiana did not miss the opportunity and took part.
The tournament was advertised as a CDI4* exam. After the closing date, however, the organizer had this changed to a 3* tournament at the FEI. This also depressed the mood not only among the participants, who had already subscribed, but also obviously among the judges.
Enjoy a second place in the competition. Dia is a bit sloppy.
Tatiana took part in the Grand Prix on Saturday, 29.06., and the following Freestyle on Sunday. On both days, Diavolessa was unusually sloppy. The horse lacked the strength. Warming up went only briefly, then the energy was consumed. Accordingly, the performances in the examination were cancelled. In the Grand Prix Tatiana almost had to carry the mare through the course. Passage and Piaffe lacked the drive, overall the performance remained sloppy. The Freestyle succeeded better. It became very clear how well the music harmonized with the movements. Overall, despite the weakness, the performance was successful. However, it was unfortunate that a judge, whom the couple had remembered from previous trials, was constantly pointing downwards here in Moscow and taking away the couple's victory of the exam. Tatiana finished third in the Grand Prix with 67.434 percent and second in the Freestyle with 70.175 percent.
In the meantime, the couple is back in the home stable. The mare was very much looking forward to her box and immediately rolled in fresh straw. She now has a few days off and is checked through to avoid physical impairment.
