Tatiana started with Dia in Lyon
For the start of the indoor season Tatiana Kosterina drove with Dia to Lyon in France for the CDI World Cup contest. The competition was strong. After a nervous and tense start in the Grand Prix they managed an elegant presentation in the freestyle.
Concentrated and attentive while preparing the freestyle
The highlight of the exclusive dressage event in France was the Grand Prix Freestyle for Tatiana and Dia. They started as the second pair and had to submit clearly. Dia came into the arena relaxed and calm and allowed herself to be guided confidently through the freestyle tour. Always focused on Tatiana, the ears turned back and forth. The mouth remained loose and the mare presented itself in a relaxed manner. Tatiana rode very precisely. The figures arrive flawlessly and the freestyle, now also musically and choreographically optimized once again, convincingly showed a couple who knew how to dance elegantly and easily through a dressage quadrilateral. With 73.670 percent, the Munich result could be topped once again. Rank 11 in a very strong field of competitors was a good result.
The previous Grand Prix did not go so well. Diavolessa had to accustom herself to the indoor situation, like many other horses. She was already tense during the ride and could not calm down during the entire performance. Tatiana also managed a flawless ride here, but unfortunately it was not that elegant. Dia could not develop her drive. Piaffe and Passage remained rather tired. Only her strong step could shine again as a highlight. With a good 69 percent then came out of 12th place. You can not complain about the rating. The Grand Prix was rated rather benevolently, while it was strict in the freestyle.
Lyon is well worth a visit, even in the rain.
The event in Lyon is certainly one of the best in the world. Perfect organization, generous accommodations and, as advertised, excellent food. After Tryon a soothing experience. In between, there was the opportunity for a trip to the city. A worthwhile business even in the event of a drizzly drizzle, because Lyon also offers tourist delicacies. Overall, the long journey was worth it.
